India enjoyed a remarkable 2025 season in ODI cricket. Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, the team lifted the Champions Trophy after defeating New Zealand in the final and wrapped up the year with an impressive 2-1 home series victory over South Africa. Earlier in the year, they had also registered a series win against England. The only setback came in October, when they suffered a series of defeat to Australia. source https://www.indiatvnews.com/sports/cricket/who-finished-with-most-runs-for-india-in-odis-in-2025-2025-12-06-1020595
Ishan Kishan released from India's squad for South Africa Tests, 30-year-old wicketkeeper named replacement
The Board of Cricket for Control in India (BCCI) announced a change in the squad for the two-match Test series against South Africa starting with the Boxing Day Test at Centurion. Ishan Kishan, who was one of the two wicketkeeping options for India for the two Test matches, will no longer be part of the squad as he has been withdrawn owing to personal reasons. Kishan made his Test debut against the West Indies in July this year and will now be replaced by KS Bharat, who was India's first choice during the Border-Gavaskar series against Australia in February-March.source https://www.indiatvnews.com/sports/cricket/ind-vs-sa-ishan-kishan-released-from-india-s-squad-for-south-africa-tests-ks-bharat-wicketkeeper-named-replacement-2023-12-17-907684
