Venkatesh Iyer stunned many after being roped in for a massive price of Rs 23.75 crore by Kolkata Knight Riders at the IPL 2025 mega auction on Sunday, November 24. IPL 2025 Retention: Full list of retained players by all 10 franchises

Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya are among the star players retained by their respective franchises ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. Virat Kohli is the top retention announced by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). RCB have retained Virat by paying INR 21 crore. Notably, a total of 47 players have been retained ahead of the upcoming auction.
