ICC ODI rankings: Rohit Sharma closes in on Babar Azam, Rachin Ravindra gains big; Virat Kohli drops down

Indian captain Rohit Sharma benefitted from his 83-ball 76 in the Champions Trophy final as he gained a couple of spots in the latest ICC rankings for batters in ODIs to find himself in third position. Rohit didn't have a great tournament scoring just 104 runs in four matches prior to the final but the skipper came clutch when it mattered the most chasing against New Zealand in the summit clash. WTC Points Table Update after Australia's win in pink-ball Test: India drop down 2 spots, hosts gain big

Australia stormed back into the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with a scintillating 10-wicket win. The pink-ball clash was always going to be a tricky one for the visitors since they haven't played one in more than two and a half years and under lights in helpful conditions, Australian bowlers proved to be too good for India's flailing batting line-up. Travis Head was the star with the bat for the Australians, smashing a run-a-ball 140 but more than the bowling, the lack of defiance and accountability from the batters in both innings probably cost India the match.
