Mohammed Siraj clinches three as Hyderabad stun star-studded Mumbai in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

Out of India’s white-ball squad, Mohammed Siraj is desperate to prove his mettle and earn his status back as an all-format player. In the clash against Mumbai at the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the 31-year-old rose to the occasion and bowled beautifully, clinching three wickets in 3.5 overs, conceding just 17 runs. Notably, Mumbai have a power-packed team, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ajinkya Rahane opening the innings. ILT20 auction: R Ashwin goes unsold, Unmukt Chand, Shakib Al Hasan find bidders; West Indies batter costliest

Former India off-spinner R Ashwin went unsold at the first-ever ILT20 auction in Dubai on Wednesday, October 1. Ashwin, who became eligible to play in the overseas T20 league after announcing his retirement from the IPL last month, registered for the ILT20 auction at the highest base price of $120,000 but found no takers. On the other hand, other familiar names like Mohammad Nabi, Shakib Al Hasan and Unmukt Chand, the former India U19 World Cup-winning captain, all received bids and will play in the fourth season of the ILT20.
